SKIZOPFAN

Skizofan, born Fanio Guillaume, is a self-taught multidisciplinary artist from Rodrigues, Mauritius. Initially recognized in the music scene, he achieved success in poetry, winning several competitions and participating in international slam championships. He began slamming in 2009 after dropping out of school and quickly discovered a passion for writing. Skizofan earned notable accolades in poetry competitions, including second place in the first Mauritius National Grand Slam and awards in the Les Lignes d’Or National Poetry Competition. His talent led him to participate in cultural events and travel to France and Ivory Coast for prestigious competitions. Seeking a new artistic challenge, he later ventured into visual art, inspired by Jean Dubuffet and his concept of L’Art Brut.
