Mabounda Gonçalo, an anti-war activist, delves deep into his country's collective memory through his art. His impactful exhibitions have graced renowned museums like the Center Pompidou in Paris, the Venice Biennale, and the Museum of Art and Design in New York. His artistic journey commenced in 1995 through a project undertaken by the Christian Council of Mozambique (CCM) to gather weapons dispersed across the nation post a nearly two-decade civil war.
