Bengt Lindström (1925-2008)

Influenced by the work of CoBrA artists Asger Jorn and Karel Appel, Bengt Lindström was a painter, sculptor, and printmaker best known for his vibrantly colored works depicting distorted figures often based on masks, gods, and monsters from Scandinavian mythology. Lindström developed a sculptural style of thickly layered paint, loose brushwork, and a palette of bright primary colours.
